Frances Duncombe (1901-1994)

American author of both children's and adult novels. Wrote under the names of both Frances Duncombe and Frances Riker Duncombe. Has written stories in a number of genres including historical, mystery and ghost - and also one pony story. She seemed to be very interested in history: a couple of her novels are centred around real historical events and she has also written a non-fiction book about the history of the New York village Katonah, where she lived.
